RECAP: JR BLADES PREMIER AND ELITE CONCLUDE PRESEASON TRAINING CAMP

Tuesday, September 15, 2020, 1:00PM

ESTERO, FL- The Florida Jr. Blades organization concluded their training camp of the 2020-21 season led by Premier and Elite coaches, Rob Weingartner and Brian Jacque.

"I thought training camp went well, the players are adjusting to the new coaches and drills we are doing.” said head coach Weingartner. ”We are still sorting through our rosters and excited to see the competition in practice”.

After a long and uncertain off-season, the excitement of training camp was palpable. Not only was the team thrilled to be back on the ice together, they were excited to see how the new changes at the coaching staff would play out. If there was one clear message from how the new staff ran practice, it was hard work. From start to end of training camp, the newly appointed coaches had the players constantly working on and off the ice. Whether simple or complex drills, players were expected to put in 100% effort when conducting them.

The Jr. Blades now move on to practices throughout the week in preparation for their first game the 18th against the Tampa Bay Juniors at the Advent Health Center Ice in Tampa, FL.

Elite will be first up playing at 6:00 PM, followed by Premier at 8:00pm.
