Jr. Blades Re-Sign Forward Ashton King

ESTERO, FL- The Florida Junior Blades, proud members of the USPHL, have re-signed forward Ashton King for the 2020-21 season head coach Rob Weingartner announced today.

“Ashton has the size at 6'4" 200 pounds to be a dominant power forward this year for us, as a 20 year old this year, he brings over 70 games of experience in a Florida Jr Blades uniform and he is a natural leader” said coach Weingartner. “During our ID camp this summer at Hertz Arena, Ashton skated well and worked hard, the coaching staff look forward to working with him this year in hopes of landing him a NCAA opportunity.”

King, 6'4, 201-pounds, the big bodied power forward played in 43 games last season notching 3 points. After spending an entire summer training with High Performance Training the Michigan native looks to have a breakout season.

“The Florida Jr. Blades are a great organization and where’s a better place to play the sport you love then in Florida” said King. “I Can’t wait for next season.
