Jr. Blades Take Part In Literacy Night At Veterans Memorial Elementary

ESTERO, FL- On Tuesday night, several players of the Florida Jr. Blades program were invited to read and participate in activities during Literacy Night at the Veterans Memorial Elementary School. Recently, VME has been named a Leader in Me Lighthouse School an honor that recognizes outstanding results in school and student outcomes, by implementing Leader in Me with fidelity.

"For us, it's always great to get out in the community and give back," said head coach Todd Pococke. “Being able to read to and interact with the kids at VME was not only enjoyable for our guys, but also a privilege. Thank you for having us!"

The entire Florida Jr. Blades organization places a huge emphasis on the important of character for each player who represents the Jr. Blades uniform and is thrilled to see the players actively involved in the community.
