Tyler O'Mara Commits to King's College

Estero, FL- The Florida Jr. Blades organization, head coach Todd Pococke and assistant coach Tyler Carlston are pleased to announce that forward Tyler O'Mara has committed to play NCAA DIII for the King's College Monarch Hockey Club for the upcoming 2017-18 season.
"It's an honor to be able to commit to King's College. I would like to thank my coaches, teammates, friends and a special thank you to my family for always supporting me,” said O'Mara. “I couldn't have done this without all of them. I will always remember what those people did for me as I take on the next chapter in my life.”
O'Mara ended the Jr. Blades 2016-17 USP3HL Championship season collecting honors including USP3 Player Of The Year, USP3 Forward Of The Year and Star Of The Week for his outstanding play during the week of November 21, 2016.
“Tyler has done an outstanding job these past two seasons and we are very proud of him on his commitment,” said head coach Todd Pococke. “We're looking forward to following his play as makes the jump to the next level and wish him the best of luck!”
The Syracuse native led the Jr. Blades in point totals notching 85 points including 33 goals and 52 assists in his 51 games played. O'Mara recorded multipoint games in 28 of those contests, where he tallied at least three points on 12 different occasions and scored at least two goals in six of those contests.

Based out of Wilkes-Barres Pennsylvania, the Monarch's hockey program will begin its inaugural season joining the United Collegiate Hockey Conference in the fall of 2017-2018.
The entire Jr. Blades organization couldn't be prouder to see O'Mara advance to the next level of his hockey career and wish him the best of luck with the Monarchs!
